North Fork Light Tackle Charters Services the Entire East End of Long Island (North Fork and Hamptons) and Can Design a Trip to Best Fit Your Location and Preferences

April - mid May:

We begin the season targeting large striped bass along the shorelines and in the creeks of Peconic Bay. We can find big fish laying in less than two feet of water!

Mid May - June:

As the Peconic Bay fishing moves further East we also focus on the ocean-fed Shinnecock Bay. A flats fishing haven, we can find large striped bass in shallow water on sandy flats, ideal for ultra light spin fishing and fly fishing. There's always resident bluefish and fluke in the flats to offer the Shinnecock Bay grand slam.

July - August:

While Shinnecock continues to produce great fishing all summer, we also focus on the waters around Gardiners Island and Plum Island, fishing a variety of rips, rocky or sandy shorelines and sandy shoals. We can find bass of all sizes and voracious gator bluefish.

September - November:

Once fall arrives we focus on partaking in the storied Fall Run in the Long Island Sound, Gardiners Bay and off Montauk, as schools of false albacore, bonita, striped bass and bluefish feed on small bait fish. Every light tackle fisherman has to experience casting to water boiling with feeding fish!
